The alternator regulator keeps output voltage steady so the battery is not overcharged and electrical loads are protected. The regulators here are Bosch-type units with integrated brushes and an aluminium base, for high-output alternators: a 24 V model for Benz trucks, 24 V Khavar, the 302 bus, stationary engines and 55 A and 80 A alternators, and a 12 V model for Benz minibuses.
